Yasoon does not launch - DbProviderFactories issue

Symtoms

Yasoon does not launch - an error is displayed.

 

Solution

This issue does occur if another software has modified your configuration in an invalid way. Please follow the following steps to fix this.

  1. Open the following path in your Windows Explorer: "C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.x.xxxx\Config". For the xxxx part, if there is more than one folder, use the one with the highest number.
  2. Open the file "machine.config" in the text editor:
  3. Search for the term "DBProviderFactories". You should find a section, which may look like this:
  4. You should see the element marked in red, which is an empty DbProviderFactories element. Please continue only, if you have exactly this element, otherwise please contact us. You can damage your configuration if you make modifications on your own.
  5. In case you see the exact element above, please remove this line. Make sure to only remove this line and nothing else.
  6. Save the file and restart Outlook.

    The fix doesn't work. Is there something else that can be done. Inside the Outlook, the SalesForce constantly spins, trying to refresh, or connect.
