To get started, please install the JIRA add-on via the Atlassian Marketplace. This applies to the JIRA cloud as well to the self-hosted version. You can do this in the admin panel of your JIRA instance. Search for "Outlook app" or "yasoon" to find us!
After the installation is completed, you'll be able to access the configuration via the new menu entry called "Outlook app". You will be guided through the next steps.
The JIRA app does not run out of the box after installing it - it needs an yasoon company account and you need to be JIRA Admin to set it up. This also just needs to be done once per JIRA installation - not by every user.
On the "Outlook App" page, you'll be asked for a yasoon company account. You can either directly create one or login with an existing one. The yasoon account is mandatory and makes it easy to distribute the setup files, manage future updates and handle your license.
After you have created the company account, you'll see an configuration page. Depending on your JIRA instance, you'll have to do different steps next:
- Cloud: Please follow the Cloud Guide to create a new application link
- Server: Please create the application link by clicking "Add application link". In case there is an issue, please use the fallback guide.
