The Outlook App for Basecamp always follows one main purpose
Make it as easy as possible to do your daily tasks on Basecamp
The app supports four main areas:
- Show your recent Notifications
- Synchronize Todos
- Synchronize Calendars
- Create new Discussions
Notifications gives you the latest overview about your projects and is the same as the progress page on Basecamp. But it already gives you useful tools like grabbing a task, comment or view connected Outlook items. If you need more, you can always click on the Project name to open the Basecamp project.
Yasoon can automatically sync all your basecamp todos into Outlook tasks. If it doesn’t, read Tasks do not sync
The todo sync makes it easier for you to keep an overview about all your todos, but you can also assign own reminders, etc to use the built-on Outlook functionalities. You decide if you want to manage the tasks in folder or with Outlook Categories. Check the settings to find the best configuration for you. Sorted by Projects it could look like this:

If you activate Two-Way Synchronization in the settings, changes in the Outlook Task are also synced back to Basecamp. So if you complete the task or change the due date locally in your Outlook, it will be changed in Basecamp as well.

Meetings, Milestones and Timelines are maybe the most important information in a project. The Basecamp app supports you to never miss any important date by synchronising the calendars into Outlook. No need for reminder emails - Outlook will take care you do not miss anything. Similar to todos you can set some synchronisation rules that fits best for you.
If you activate Two-Way Synchronization in the settings, changes in the Outlook Appointment are also synced back to Basecamp. So if you move a calendar item to another date, it will be changed in Basecamp as well.

- End date
Create new Discussions
Emails: Boon and Bane. They are incredible easy to use but can completely fail if it comes to group conversations.
